On the line-up for the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival is A Royal Affair, a historical drama from writer and director Nikolaj Arcel (who wrote the original Swedish adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo starring Noomi Rapace). The period film stars Mads Mikkelsen, Alicia Vikander and Mikkel Følsgaard, and by the look of it, it's going to be gritty, sexy and provocative. Trailer below:
Nikolaj Arcel (screenwriter of the original version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo) directs A Royal Affair from a script he also wrote with Rasmus Heisterberg, based on the novel Prinsesse af blodet.
