This is Gotham City, home to Bruce Wayne and weird villains. Comic creator Frank Miller has described it as New York City after dark, but Gotham had already been a well-known nickname for the city before
Batman's creation. But besides the obvious parallels to New York City, this detailed map also shows elements from Boston, Cincinnati, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Toronto, Vancouver, London and Chicago.
"The Dark Knight Rises" is finally out in theaters on July 20.
