It's just a wonder just how much gets cut in the editing room. The Avengers DVD will include a brand new Marvel short film called Item 47. The teaser, we've posted the other day. And we managed to catch the first screening at Comic Con. Could this possibly be a spin-off for a TV series?

Item 47 is centered around a pair of outlaws played by Jesse Bradford and Lizzy Caplan. The short takes us to the place right after the massive Avengers battle in NYC, and the invading alien force left behind a whole lot of weapons - 47 of them in fact. S.H.I.E.L.D. agents thought they had gathered u all the evidence, but one weapon slipped through their fingers and into the hands of Bradford and Caplan. The couple uses t to run around to rob as many banks as they can.

Item 47 will be released on The Avengers DVD later this year.
