Vin Diesel has confirmed the next installment of the Fast and Furious franchise. And it will take place in Europe.

"Preproduction on Fast 6 is up and running!" wrote Diesel. "For years we have wanted to venture the storyline to Europe, and now because of you... it's become a reality," he added.

British tabloid newspaper 'The Sun' also reported that Rihanna has been cast as a villain in the sixth installment of the series, adding that filming will take place in England.

“Rihanna impressed with her acting debut in Battleship. Writers think she’ll be perfect for the role. Her character has plenty of bite and doesn’t take any prisoners — just like her in real life. It’s a step up the ladder for her and could lead to bigger action roles.”

Fast 6 is scheduled for release in theaters on May 24, 2013.
