If you haven't seen the trailer yet, I strongly urge everyone to watch it right now. It is an incredible film.
Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire is directed by Lee Daniels, of only the film Shadowboxer previously. The screenplay was adapted by first-time writer Damien Paul and is based on the novel titled Push written by Precious. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, where it won both the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award and was one of the most highly praised films of the entire festival. Lionsgate will release Precious in limited theaters starting on November 6th later this year.
