MTV News has finally released a new ‘balls to the wall‘ red band trailer for Universal Studios‘ upcoming Jeff Wadlow directed action comedy movie sequel to the 2010 film. The trailer shows the return of the original gang of heroes along with a new character played by actor Jim Carrey who plays a vigilante named ‘Colonel Stars and Stripes.’ Kick-Ass 2 is set to debut in theaters on August 16, 2013. According to the synopsis, the film follows a teenager who gets transported into a mythical world filled with forest creatures. For those of you who grew up in the 80s, this is basically like Ferngully for the new generation.
